How does the matchmaker actually work?

You answer a short quiz about your mood, reading pace, and what you're in the mood for right now. Our matchmaker reads those answers and recommends up to four books from our current inventory — a Best Match, a Safe Bet, and a Wildcard. Each recommendation is selected from books we've personally curated and tagged.

Yes — all books are new or like new, hand-selected for quality and fit with our catalog.

Can I pick a specific genre?

The quiz lets you steer by mood, pace, and vibe rather than genre labels — we find that leads to better matches. But if you genuinely only read one thing, the "I Know What I Want" mode lets you be more specific. Your Daydream Library is the collection of every Daydream Made book you've added by entering the code from inside it. We use your library to find you better matches over time — and to count toward your next book on us. Every 8 books you add, the next one's our treat.

How do I add a book to my library?

Accepted Answer

Every Daydream Made book comes with a card inside. Sign in at matchmaker.daydreammade.com, enter the code from your card, and the book joins your library. If you haven’t signed in yet, your code will be waiting on the other side.

How do I earn a free book?

Accepted Answer

Every 8 books you add to your library earns you the next one on us. The 8 can come from anywhere — books we shipped, books you grabbed at an event, anything with a card inside. When you cross the line, we email you a code to use on your next order at daydreammade.com.

What if my code doesn't work?

Accepted Answer

Double-check the card — codes look like three letters, three letters, then four numbers (ABC-DEF-1234, for example). You can type it with or without the dashes; the system will sort that out. If it still won't go in, drop us a line at contact@daydreammade.com and we'll sort it out.

Is my reading history private?

Yes. Your library is private to you. We use it to find you better matches — and that's it. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. The full details are in our privacy policy.

Can I delete my library?

Accepted Answer

Anytime. From your account, you can delete your library and everything in it. Your Shopify order history stays with Shopify; this only clears what we hold on our side.
